What category should I enter?
We have a variety of categories on offer to suit all abilities! Simply select your preferred ‘Award Category’ during registration. Your results will be ranked against others in your category.
Please note, Elites must hold an AusTriathlon License or be endorsed by an accredited coach.
Categories: Elite, Junior Elite, Youth Draft Legal, Open, Para Multiclass, Athena, Clydesdale, Family and Friends, and First Timers.

Elite & Junior Elite – Draft Legal Racing. This category is restricted to those with a Professional Racing License or a referral from an accredited coach.
Youth – Draft Legal Racing. Athletes must be endorsed by an accredited coach to race in this category.
Age Category – 5 year brackets starting from 15-19 years of age. You will be ranked against those of your age bracket and gender.
Open – Suitable for participants wanting the extra challenge of racing others outside their age group. TT bikes are permitted in this category.
Para Multiclass – Athletes with a disability, also known as Multiclass Award Category.
Athena – An informal award category for those who nominate themselves as over 70kg to race against similar athletes.
Clydesdale – An informal award category for those who nominate themselves as over 95kg to race against similar athletes.
Friends & Family – Otherwise known as ‘Race Your Mates’. This is an informal award category that anyone can race in, and start their swim together. This category is not eligible for Series Points.
First Timer – This category is not eligible for Series Points. Suitable if this is your first ever triathlon and you want to start with other first timers.
