Race 2 Brighton

Sunday 10 December 2023

Swim Leg replaced with contingency run due to poor water quality

Update 9th December – Following EPA advice for not swimming after significant rainfall and more than 10mm of rain across Brighton. The beach has been deemed Not suitable for swimming’, due to poor water quality.

Although the beach may look clear of debris, other factors like E. coli are taken into account, we have also had this validated via consultation with Life Saving Victoria and Aus Triathlon.  The health and safety of our participants is always our number 1 priority so, therefore, a contingency Run will replace the swim leg.
